Are You Ready to Join a Show? We're Ready to Help!

Auditions sound scary but at West Valley Youth Theater we strive to make auditioning accessible to all children regardless of experience. We are here to help you through every step of the process.

How Auditions Work

REGISTER

Just pick a show, complete the online registration, and select an audition time.

PICK A SONG

You will need to select a song you want to perform at your audition.

Pick a song that you think highlights your strength for a particular show. Songs should be 32 bars or up to 1 minute in length.

You can bring a backup track on your phone to your audition.

SHOW UP

Show up to your selected audition time. We'll get you signed in, take your picture, and you'll be ready to perform.

Make sure to bring any required paperwork (e.g., signed conflict calendar)

LEARN A DANCE

During your audition we'll teach you a simple dance which will be part of your initial audition or call-back performance.

HAVE FUN

You'll get to perform your song, some provided lines, and dance in a fun and supportive environment.

Be prepared to potentially be called back for additional auditions.
